Pour House at Grand Central in Downtown Tampa is a combination craft beer bar, brewery (Late Start Brewing), and coffee shop (Ginger Beard Coffee opens 6AM).

Pour House has a total of 40 craft beers on draft in which at least 10 tap handles are dedicated to Late Start Brewing with at least another 10 being from other Florida Craft Breweries. The remaining 20 taps are well selected from other US Craft Breweries along with a few European selection. Considering they have 40 beers on tap, I’m impressed with the Pour House’s beer list which is void of crappy beers. Pour House also has another 60 plus craft beers in the can or bottle.

Pour House has a Happy Hour Monday thru Friday till 7PM with $1 off all drafts and wines by the glass. Pour House also has a nice courtyard patio with plenty of tables.

While the Pour House doesn’t serve food, they do have the occasional food truck or you’re welcome to bring your own food or order delivery.

Late Start Brewing

Logo for Late Start Brewing in Downtown TampaLate Start Brewing officially opened in September of 2018 and with a 3 barrel brewing system housed in the back part of the Pour House at Grand Central in Downtown Tampa. Late Start Brewing is a partnership among three guys who have brewed at local breweries such as Cigar City Brewing, Coppertail Brewing, 7venth Sun Brewing, and Angry Chair Brewing to name a few.

The Pour House doubles as the tap room for Late Start Brewing since 12 of the 40 tap handles are allotted specifically for the brewery start-up. Late Start is also experimenting with a few barrel aged beers. I drank the Late Start Brewing Chocolate Covered Orange 11% abv which is an Imperial Stout with notes of cocoa nibs and orange zest.

I look forward in seeing what the future holds for these three beer entrepreneurs.
